SMA Behavioral Health Services Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Nov. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- Ivan Cosimi, CEO of Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Health Services (SMA) is pleased to announce that CARF International has accredited SMA for a period of three years in over 30 categories, including governance and organizational management.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

Notations in the Survey Summary show that "the organization is guided by a leadership that is committed to serving the personnel served" and that "the organization is committed to partnerships within the community that SMA Serves."

"After many months of hard work by all, we can all celebrate our successful CARF survey and I would like to offer a special thanks to all involved for their diligence in preparing for the survey," said Cosimi. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
