Gina Lee Ronhovde Indie Screenplay Writer and Director Screens and Wins!

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Boudoir wins two awards of merit at the Best Shorts Competition in the Women Filmmakers' category for her short and her Match.com Spec Commercial: 'Know They're Out There' in the Commercial / Infomercial category.

In addition, Boudoir is an official selection and screening at the FESTER: MindF#ck Festival showing on August 18, 2016 at the California Institute of Abnormalarts 11334 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601. FESTER is a monthly film series showcasing "MindF#ck Movies," films that "crawl inside your head and stay there like the memory of a fever dream. Mindf#ck's goal is to bring you the best in the world of independent films."

"Mind-bending films have always been a particular favorite of mine, and Boudoir is definitely in its right element at this particular festival. It's a total honor as a filmmaker to be a part of this lineup," said Gina.

BOUDOIR won a silver award at the Spotlight Short Film Awards for Best Short Films of 2015, was screened at the HollyShorts Monthly Screening in October 2015, won Best Dramatic Short, Best Cinematography and People's Choice Award for Best Short Film at the 2015 Hollywood Reel Independent Film(HRIFF) 2015, was an Official Selection in the 2015 Chicago Horror Film Festival (CHFF), nominated for Best Music, and was an Official Selection of the 2015 Fargo Fantastic Film Festival (FFFF).  Ms. Ronhovde's feature screenplay "Family Reunion" was a finalist in over 10 screenplay competitions including Creative World Awards, Table Read My Screenplay, Columbia Gorge International, and Scriptapalooza.

Gina Lee Ronhovde (Producer) is a graduate of LA Film School.  In addition to her own award-winning original short films, she gained film production knowledge on such productions as Kevin Smith's Red State and helped produce over 15 comedy specials for cable and network television including Weird Al Yankovic Live!:  The Apocalypse Tour and Aziz Ansari: Dangerously Delicious.

BOUDOIR a psycho-thriller stars Dominique Swain (LOLITA, FACE/OFF, ALPHA DOG) and Deneen Melody (THE PLAYBOY CLUB, ROSE WHITE), is written and directed by Gina Lee Ronhovde, with cinematography by Will Barratt (FROZEN, HATCHET I&II), special effects by Michael Del Rossa (300, I AM LEGEND) edited by Ed Marx (SWIMMING WITH SHARKS, JEEPERS CREEPERS) with sound & music by John Neff (THE STRAIGHT STORY, MULHOLLAND DRIVE). Synopsis: When a mysterious client begins posing for an agoraphobic photographer during a routine boudoir photo shoot, the session quickly takes a bizarre downward journey into the psychological depths of hell, escalating into a bloody battle to stay alive.
