MALVERN, Pa. - Aug. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- DCG Software Value, a global provider of software analytics, software quality management, and Agile support services, will present at the 2016 Practical Software Quality and Testing (PSQT) Conference in San Diego.

Dedicated to providing valuable information to all levels of quality assurance and test professionals, PSQT focuses specifically on delivering practical best practices that lead to an increase in software productivity and quality.

Tom Cagley, Vice President of Consulting and Agile Practice Lead at DCG Software Value, will give three presentations at this year's conference. His first presentation, "Discover the Quality of Your Testing Process," will take place on Wednesday, August 17 at 10:45am PST. Part of the Software Quality track, the presentation will focus on the Test Maturity Model integration (TMMi), a framework for software testing. Tom will share a case study to discuss how the TMMi appraisal process works, providing attendees with a tool to complete a high-level assessment of their organization.

His second presentation, "Scaling Agile Testing Using the TMMi," is part of the Agile track. At 1:45pm Tom will outline the TMMi framework and provide a process for using environmental, technical, and project context to effectively integrate testing into an Agile development environment, measuring the effectiveness of the process.

His final presentation, on Thursday, August 18 at 3:00pm, is part of the Agile track. "Impact of Agile Risk Management on Software Quality" will discuss how to implement best practices for mitigating risk in an Agile environment.

"Many organizations execute software development, and their main – or sole – focus is on delivery and completion rather than on optimizing their development process in order to produce the most high quality software possible," said Tom Cagley. "By evaluating the software process for improvement and implementing key best practices, it's possible to consistently and efficiently produce high quality software that works as expected and benefits the bottom line of the company. PSQT provides an environment for software practitioners to identify software trends that they can implement within their own organization for tangible improvements."

This year's conference will be held August 14-19 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. The program will include pre- and post-conference workshops, as well as sessions focused on Agile, Mobile, Automation, Quality Management, and Test Management tracks.

In addition to speaking, DCG is also a sponsor of this year's conference.
