MALVERN, Pa. - Oct. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- DCG Software Value, a global provider of Function Point Analysis, Software Value, and Software Estimation services, will present at the Agile DC conference in Washington, DC on October 24, 2016.

Agile DC is the largest community-organized event in the Washington, DC metro area. The annual conference brings together IT thought leaders and practitioners from a variety of industries and organizations to share their expertise and experiences to help improve and give strength to the Agile movement.

Tom Cagley, Vice President of Consulting and Agile Practice Lead at DCG Software Value, will present "Storytelling: Developing the Big Picture for Agile Efforts." Tom will explain how to assemble a cross-functional team and use facilitated storytelling to generate a set of scenarios, which are then decomposed into features, epics, and user stories using standard grooming techniques. He will also demonstrate how groups can implement this process within their organization.

Tony Timbol, Vice President of Sales at DCG Software Value, will present "Agile Governance for Agile Adults – Grow Up and Give the Enterprise Real, Not Relative Data." Tony will discuss a case study, explaining how two organizations are successfully adopting program- and portfolio-level measures and metrics to reduce costs, improve predictable delivery, and quantify business value in an Agile environment.

"For those unaware of the value of the Agile methodology, Agile DC is must-attend event. This is even more true for those who believe Agile won't work in their organization," said Tom. "When Agile is implemented effectively, it is a game-changer for an organization. The cultural change required to commit to Agile can be difficult to navigate, but the sessions at Agile DC provide practical strategies and tactics to facilitate success. We look forward to sharing our own experiences with attendees, as well as benefiting from all the other great speakers during the event."

This year's conference will be held October 24 at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. The conference includes ample time for coffee and networking and features content for attendees of all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

In addition to speaking, DCG is the keynote sponsor of this year's conference. The keynote will be delivered by Joanna Rothman, author of Agile and Lean Program Management: Scaling Collaboration Across the Organization and Manage Your Project Portfolio: Increase Your Capacity and Finish More Projects, 2nd edition.
