Birkenmeier Stein + Design transforms scattered data sets with Perfion PIM

BREISACH-NIEDERRIMSINGEN, Germany - Aug. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Product information scattered in numerous Excel files. Elaborately and manually produced pricelists. Time-consuming, manual processes. All this will soon remain in the past at Birkenmeier Stein + Design. Soon, a new PIM solution will be the only source for product data and price lists will be created 100% automatically. The result? At Birkenmeier Stein + Design, the leading manufacturer of stones and slabs for garden landscapes in Germany, managing and updating large amounts of product data is a constant challenge. Until now, product data, which could not be maintained in the ERP system, was stored and handled in numerous Excel files.

It was extremely time-consuming to find and maintain the desired data manually in these disjointed data repositories and the process was prone to error. Consequently, the company needed a future-proof solution for optimal product data management.

Managing all product information centrally in one place

The choice fell on the Perfion PIM system. Perfion is a 100% standard application for product data management, in which all types of product information such as text, images, video, meta data and other files can be stored and maintained. Perfion can be fully integrated with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system at Birkenmeier Stein + Design. This means that product master data stored in the ERP system can be maintained via Perfion. Consequently, users can manage all product data centrally in Perfion and always have the full picture.
