America's Best Cleaners and CTDA Stitch Up a Closer Relationship

ALBANY, N.Y. - July 19, 2016 - PRLog -- America's Best Cleaners (ABC) is the dry cleaning industry's leading consulting provider and the only independent certification program.  The Custom Tailors and Designers Association (CTDA) is the oldest continuously running trade organization in the United States, serving garment designers, pattern makers, and tailors.  The two entities have worked together in the past, providing educational resources and support to their respective members, and the two continue to do so in a new partnership arrangement.

Craig D. Wertheim, National Sales Manager (USA & Canada) for Scabal, producer of top quality fabrics, and member of CTDA's Executive Board, says ABC and its affiliates are the leaders in the dry cleaning industry.

"Scabal is known for the finest and rarest of fibers being used in the world of custom clothing and other CTDA members are of equal caliber, whether they are designers, producers, or tailors," says Wertheim.  "ABC and its Affiliates bring the same level of luxury to the care of these exclusive garments. Catherine McCann, ABC's Operations Director, agrees, expressing enthusiasm for the new partnership.  "CTDA has an impressive history and high profile in the garment industry," she says, "and we are excited to assist in developing programs that will position them for growth in the future."

As part of the existing relationship between ABC and CTDA, Chris White, ABC's Executive Director, recently presented two educational programs to the members of CTDA covering the latest trends in dry cleaning.  The first comprised an update on the latest technologies, trends, and struggles facing the industry and which included a tour of MW Cleaners central processing facility which is a spin off from the Men's Wearhouse Retail clothing company.  The second highlighted ABC and how the organization and CTDA can work together to promote each other on a national and local level to foster growth.

The material presented by White was valuable to CTDA members says Wertheim. "The information on how the cleaning process works and the dispelling of the old information that dry cleaning destroys cloth will help me educate my customers," he says.

The response to his presentations was overwhelmingly positive, says White.  "The momentum of cooperation from this event was unprecedented and we are excited to work together with the executive board of CTDA to develop these programs now and into the future," he says.

Wertheim agrees. "Both ABC and CTDA are poised to become the ultimate authorities in each of our fields," he says.  "I am looking forward to continuing our partnership."
