Writer/Director Gregory Blair Spoofs Film Noir in IT AIN'T ALL BLACK AND WHITE...UNLESS IT IS

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - July 9, 2016 - PRLog -- With his horror/comedy GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE in the final throes of post-production, award-winning filmmaker Gregory Blair prepares to shoot its intended companion piece: a comical look at the trappings of film noir…and film in general.  True to the original genre, IT AIN'T ALL BLACK AND WHITE…UNLESS IT IS includes a femme fatale, a detective and lots of moody, brooding voiceover.

"I wanted to do something fun and whimsical, yet full of love for cinema as an art form" Blair says.  "Something that could stand on its own, but also work to set the tone for the gleeful silliness that I hope 'Garden Party Massacre' offers."  In any event, IT AIN'T ALL BLACK AND WHITE…UNLESS IT IS aims to be both a wry poke in the eye as well as a loving valentine to the noir catalogue.

To bring the script to life, Blair is taking no chances:  he's called upon talent that he has worked with on previous films.  "I've got Nate Cornett and Robben Fenderson from GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE on camera and sound, respectively.   And I've got Mikhail Blokh from DEADLY REVISIONS on board as my leading man," Blair reveals.  "Working with people you know is both prudent and comforting.  So it's a win on several levels."

Blair has been honored with several filmmaking awards--including the L.A. Movie Award of "Best Narrative Feature" and the Claw Award of "Best Feature Film Screenplay" for DEADLY REVISIONS as well as "Best Screenplay" for GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE in the FANtastic Horror Film Festival's screenplay competition--all of which bode well for IT AIN'T ALL BLACK AND WHITE…UNLESS IT IS.
