Follow on Google News | ![]() Introducing EMJ Interventional Cardiology 4.1EuroPCR was held in Paris, France this year from 17th-20th May 2016, and all 4 days included fascinating talks, teaching sessions, posters, and demonstrations. Inside this issue there is coverage of some of the most impressive research presented at the congress, including innovations in stent technology and long-term follow-up studies, development of less invasive diagnostic techniques, and analysis of current progress and challenges in cardiovascular treatments. EMJ Interventional Cardiology also contains abstract reviews direct from the researchers themselves, providing insight into new frontiers of the field. This section covers a number of topics including aortic valve implantations and replacements, techniques for treating ischaemic stroke, and the use of drug-eluting stents in the context of diabetic patients. There are also interviews with members of the EMJ Interventional Cardiology Editorial Board who have discussed their research, perspectives, and professional goals. These interviews look at the history of interventional cardiology as well as current developments, as well as an analysis of possible future developments.
