Mahendra Institute of Technology hosts 5th Graduation Ceremony

CHENNAI, India - June 27, 2016 - PRLog -- AICTE, New Delhi approved, Mahendra Institute of Technology (MIET) held its 5^th Graduation ceremony on Sunday, 19^th June 2016, at the Mahatma Gandhi auditorium on campus. The Graduation Day Address was delivered by Dr.Hiromichi Fukui, Professor at Chubu University.

Started in 2009, the Mahendra Institute of Technology is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Acknowledged as one of the best Engineering and Technology colleges in the region, the institution is located about 25 km away from Salem, on the Salem-Tiruchengode main road.

A part of the Mahendra Educational Trust (MET), which was founded in 1978 by educationist and philanthropist,  M. G. Bharath Kumar, MIET is well-known  its rigorous curriculum that  follows a hands-on approach to learning. The institution offers myriad specialisations that promotes creativity, collaboration, and innovation and also prepares students for a wide array of careers and leadership positions.

For this year's Graduation Ceremony the institution had invited the internationally reputed Dr Hiromichi Fukui, who is currently a faculty member at the Chubu University and Director of International Digital Earth Applied Science Research Center (called IDEAS) of the Chubu Institute for Advanced Studies. Dr Hiromichi Fukui, a Board of Director at the Center for Environment Information Sciences and an adjunct professor of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has also served as a Council Member for International Society for Digital Earth.

Over 400 students participated in this year's ceremony and received their degrees from Dr.Hiromichi Fukui.
