B2B Marketing Success in 2016 - How Did Video Help a Plastics Company Close a $3 Million Deal?

LOS ANGELES - June 7, 2016 - PRLog -- The owners of Gemini Plastics,  like many B2B marketers, regarded their video as little more than a garnish to their Website…But their opinion changed dramatically when video helped them close a $3 million dollar deal.

Eric Rosen, Gemini's VP of Sales and Marketing, had a mandate to generate interest and clients for the company's new 30,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Chihuahua, MX.  Initially, Rosen used traditional sales and marketing techniques, including direct mail brochures and print advertising in plastics industry publications. But these strategies did not succeed in closing enough new customers to keep the new plant busy.

Rosen then turned to the video marketing and video SEO experts at VmatrixPR.com, who produced a narrated, visually-compelling tour of the company.  The video, which launches from the home page of the Gemini Plastics Website (www.geminiplastics.net) convinces prospects that Gemini has state-of-the-art equipment and a scalable injection molding process at both facilities in Pennsylvania and Mexico.   Since its launch, the video has become the most popular link in the company's Website, generating thousands of views each month.

But the Gemini video commands an even larger audience outside the Website in search engines, where it launches from the first page of search results in Google, Bing, Yahoo, and YouTube for dozens of valuable keyword phrases including the term "plastic injection molding Mexico": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYSuS_gJJ_I

A few months after achieving first page rankings in the US as well as in countries in Asia and Europe, the Gemini video caught the attention of a large manufacturer in England who had turned to Google in search of an affordable molding company in Mexico.  The video convinced the manufacturer to put Gemini on the fast track of vendors under consideration by the manufacturer.  Within a few weeks, they selected Gemini as their exclusive injection molding partner in Mexico.  The agreement Gemini has in place with the manufacturer is expected to generate $3 million in revenues, making it one of the largest in Gemini's history. .

"A year ago, if you had told me that our prospects use Google to find injection molding companies like us, I would not have believed you," said Rosen.  "But now I'm convinced".  Rosen went on to explain that in addition to the $3 million lead, Gemini has received so many inquiries from other companies in recent months, he asked Vmatrix to postpone plans to optimize the Gemini video for even more keywords until he can hire more sales representatives.   With his current staff, Gemini Plastics has not been able to manage the steady stream of inquiries from companies worldwide who are contacting Gemini after watching the Gemini video launch from their search results.  "We're proud of our video, it tells a great story," said Rosen. "Now that it's streaming from the top of search results, our story is apparently convincing product manufacturing companies throughout the world to call us first."

While Vmatrix has succeeded in bringing the Gemini Plastics video to the attention of a global audience of potential customers,    US companies have not been as lucky.   "Companies don't realize their videos are great lead-generating assets," said Vmatrix founder Gary Gabriel.  "They keep their videos in an enclosed environment, isolated in their Website or YouTube channel, gathering just a few hundred views per month."  If the same videos were streaming from the first page of Google search results, by contrast, they would generate thousands of views each month and, more importantly, convince prospects searching for their products to buy from them instead of their competition.
