Celebrate Global Running Day (June 1st) in Delray Beach

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - May 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Fleet Feet Sports (https://www.fleetfeetsports.com/), the local retail leader in supporting the Delray Beach running community, announced its involvement in "All4Run," a global initiative encouraging communities to take part in a special June 1 group run at their local Fleet Feet Sports. All4Run also coincides with Global Running Day, where runners and fitness enthusiasts often gather to celebrate their love of running, Fleet Feet Sports' 40^th Anniversary, and Fleet Feet Sports Delray Beach's first anniversary!

The celebration event will take place on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports Delray Beach, 1705 S. Federal Highway, Suite A-5, Delray Beach, FL, and all 162 Fleet Feet Sports locations in the United States, covering 38 states and the District of Columbia. All4Run serves as a global effort to showcase the breadth, importance, and influence of running communities across the country.

The event coincides both with Global Running Day, which encourages runners to declare their passion for running by participating in a run, encouraging friends to run, signing up for a race, or setting a new goal, as well as the brand's founding 40 years ago.

A group run will take place at 6:30 p.m.; participants can run a three or five mile course. South Florida Olympic Track & Field professional athletes will be on-site sharing their stories. Additional activities for the evening of June 1 include:

·       Meet and greet with local South Florida Olympic Track & Field Trial Qualifiers: Lana Mims, Ronald Similien and Bryan Jasmin (10% of June 1 sales go to the athletes and 5% of sales go to the athletes June 2-8);

·       Race sign-up for upcoming Run, Sweat, & Beers 5k with limited edition Pint Glass with entry;

·       Hoka One One representative on-site and opportunity to demo shoes;

·       Discounts and specials on in-store merchandise (clothing, shoes and more);
