About the Author

Nathan Rollins grew up in a small town in southwest New Hampshire. He took an active interest in writing in his freshman year of high school. One assignment that his class was given was to visit a cemetery, choose a headstone, and write a story about the person buried there. He found himself at the headstone of Olive Richardson, who had died in 1813 at the age of 30, leaving behind a husband named Elkanah. Over the next several days he wrote a story, styled as a diary entry. In it she leaves her husband, who has traveled to bring the doctor to their home, a goodbye letter recalling some of her fondest memories of their time together. He hasn't stopped writing since.
