Prime-Minister from North America to Chair 6th Convocation of LPU on 23rd February

JALANDHAR, India - Feb. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- The youngest Prime Minister of the world, Mr Roosevelt Skerrit of the Caribbean Island-the Commonwealth of Dominica, North America, will be the Chief Guest at 6th Convocation of Lovely Professional University. The convocation will be held at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the university on Tuesday, the 23rd February 2016, at 11 am. PM Skerrit will honour gold medalists and toppers of various LPU academic programs of 2015 batch. On the same day, ‘Honoris Causa’ Doctorate Degree of LPU will also be conferred on PM Roosevelt Skerrit. Near 7500 graduating LPU regular distance education students will be enlightened through convocational address by visiting PM, and also receive degrees/diplomas.

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal informed that the visit of Prime Minister Skerrit is of great importance for mutual benefits of both LPU in India and the great Caribbean Island in North America. During mutual interactions and discussions various fruitful collaborative efforts are being anticipated. PM Skerrit is dynamic in his working and for that he is being continuously elected from his Vieille Case constituency since 2000.  I am happy to share that visiting PM is indeed a great, humane and youthful leader with progressive ideas. I personally feel LPU students will really be benefitted through convocational address and blessings of such a youth icon, who had become the world's youngest head of government in 2004.”
