Follow on Google News | Kent State University’s College of Business Administration to Host Firestone Lecture Series LectureBy: Kent State College of Business Administration Zhang is an assistant professor in the Department of Finance in the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. Her major research interests are security issuance, mergers and acquisitions, capital structure and corporate governance. She previously served on the finance faculty of the University of North Dakota. Dr. Zhang’s research has appeared in the Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and other finance journals. She holds a doctorate in finance from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree in economics from Fudan University and a bachelor’s degree in management from Peking University, both in China. The Firestone Lecture Series in Finance is sponsored by the college’s Finance Department with the goal to feature innovative finance research that provides real-world industry applications. The series is also funded by a generous gift given by the Bridgestone Trust Fund, formerly known as the Firestone Trust Fund, dedicated to advancing financial education through research and innovative teaching. The lecture is free and open to the public and will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Vaughn Hoover room of the Business Administration building.
