PARTI Program Launches Community Champions Program

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Feb. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- PARTI Program Community Champions are nominated for the highest volunteer recognition – the President’s Volunteer Service Award | PVSA. The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes, celebrates and inspires community service leaders and volunteers to lead the charge.

The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, gold and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.

How do we identify our Community Champions?

In any organization there will be truly exceptional people; and they are doing substantially more than just meeting the expectations. In most organizations, about 5% or less of the volunteers are truly exceptional, utilizing an arsenal of leadership skills. These are the volunteers and service leaders we identify as our Community Champions – that we want to do our best to fully recognize, appreciate and compensate with the highest volunteer honor – the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

A PARTI Program Community Champion is someone who:

• Continually exceeds expectations in all aspects of their performance

• Continually performs at a level that is clearly superior to the majority of our volunteers

• Exhibits self-leadership. They have personal goals and know where they are headed and how to get there; they have and use their own criteria for evaluating their performance

• Demonstrates exceptional teamwork skills, social skills and actions

• Delivers a positive participation to improving organization operations

• Consistently provides suggestions for improvement that make a difference

• Identifies problems and then goes comes to us with suggested improvements, based on sound analysis and well thought out implementation scenarios and alternatives

• Makes an exceptionally positive difference for our organization all of the time; strongly contributes to building and advancing our organization

• Buys-in to being fully accountable – personally and organizationally; in words and actions, accepts responsibility for mistakes; and then proactively corrects the problem

• Allows us to sleep at night, without worry that something was not done correctly

• The volunteer is proactively thinking and acting to improve the organization, even while away from the task

• Leads by enthusiasm and productivity, even when not the official leader of a team; and does not interfere with the formal leadership of others

• Minimal to no time is spent directing, monitoring and reviewing their task

P.A.R.T.I. (Positive Alternative Recreation Teambuilding Impact) Program

Established in 2000, the PARTI Program is a non-partisan, non-sectarian 501(c)(3), non-profit organization with the primary mission of enhancing youth critical thinking skills.

PARTI Program serves over 5,000 high-risk, impacted and intentional youth in Santa Clara County, Alameda County and Los Angeles County. Our main programs are: High Impact, cultural arts (Fusion), PARTI Health, Leadership Development and Mentorship Program.

It is impossible for a child to be successful in life if he or she has not been taught to believe in themselves. The PARTI Program believes that our children are our community’s greatest assets. Every day, we work to change the lives of youth who suffer from depression, violent lifestyles, unhealthy relationships and unstable families. However, many low-income and underrepresented youth never receive an opportunity to be heard or placed in leadership roles in their school.

Our evidence based Service Learning, Mentorship, Case Management, and Enrichment Activities are Leadership focused.

High Impact Program recruits youth to participate who are High Risk, Impacted and Intentional.
