Honey Thief is Carrie Lane, formerly a solo artist that toured the country and had great success as a you tube sensation. Carrie is also signed to MSA LA. Carrie is the brain child behind Honey Thief and co-wrote the album with James Strazza. Steve Rabasca (Bass) is from musical family, Steve Rabasca started playing at a young age. He eventually formed his own NYC rock band, SWAK and from there went on to play bass in many different projects. Rabasca is also a working painter and sculptor, and continues to create and show his work. Dan DelVecchio has been playing guitar and performing since he was 8 years old. In addition to performing in his signed Alternative Rock band: Face The King - he writes, records and performs as a session musician for various singers, bands, and musicians alike. Some of which include Carrie Lane/Honey Thief, Robbie Rosen (American Idol), Nicoletta Slapo and EDM artist Corvaa. As a result he has had the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of Kings of Leon, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder, Buddy Guy, Coheed & Cambria, Billy Idol, Jane's Addiction, Shinedown, Staind, Godsmack, and countless others. Ryan Smyth has been playing drums since the age of 3. Having grown up in such a multicultural music environment, his experiences prepared him to go on to record and tour internationally for a diverse array of major and independent artists ranging from folk and Rock to hip hop and RnB. Ryan has recorded on multiple major label albums as well as live TV and DVD performances. Honey Thief is inspired by the hit song The Honeythief by the band Hipsway, a popular group from Glasglow in the mid eighties. The lyrics read, "The light of deep regret Let me see what I don't get...Catch a thief, a honeythief". One thing is for sure, it will be hard to catch up with Lane as she takes off with her new project. The upcoming EP includes all live instruments and a smoother, softer, and more natural tone from Lane. Honey Thief is the perfect combination of the essence of Carrie Lane, sweet and savory.
