Kent State University’s College of Business Administration Beta Alpha Psi Achieves Superior StatusBy: College of Business Administration The Superior Status recognition is reserved for chapters that excel in areas of community service, professional presentations and member participation. The Beta Alpha Psi Inclusive Leadership Award was also given to the Kent State Chapter totaling $1,750. This award, sponsored EY, was presented to chapters that have developed and delivered a program to make a meaningful impact by enhancing diversity and leading inclusively. Finally, the Kent State Chapter received the Beta Alpha Psi Ethics award and was given another $3,500. This award, sponsored by Grant Thornton, is given to chapters that have developed and delivered a program to help students build a solid ethical foundation, empowering them to act ethically no matter the situation faced. “It is an honor to lead Beta Alpha Psi and earn Superior Chapter status,” said Mindy Malbasa, faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi and the Accounting Association and accounting instructor at the Kent State College of Business Administration. “Our amazing student officers, combined with a committed and engaged membership, made these special recognitions possible. These honors speak volumes to the quality of our students. We look forward to another successful year.” Beta Alpha Psi is a national scholastic and professional fraternity for students and professionals in accounting, finance and management and information systems. This organization provides students with a range of opportunities to interact and connect with current and future professionals who could help students obtain a future job.
