Colonial Courtyard at Bedford seniors savor Halloween experience

BEDFORD, Pa. - Oct. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Colonial Courtyard at Bedford seniors got into the Halloween spirit a few days early and welcomed young trick-or-treaters to senior living community located at 220 Donahue Manor Road.

    Children and grandchildren of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford residents and team members donned costumes and collected candy and other treats on Oct. 26. The Colonial Courtyard at Bedford staff also wore costumes to add to the atmosphere.

    “We had a great turnout and trick-or-treaters of all ages seemed to enjoy the festivities,” said Nanette Bankes, Activities Coordinator at Colonial Courtyard at Bedford. “The Halloween event is such a rewarding activity for our residents. They thoroughly enjoy the interaction.”

    The Halloween celebration is only one of many special events shared by senior living residents and the Colonial Courtyard at Bedford team throughout the year. Active Aging Week, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Valentine's Day also bring special gatherings and activities.

    In November, Colonial Courtyard at Bedford will recognize those who served the United States in honor of Veterans Day.
