On My Own of Michigan Selected as Best of MichBusiness 2015 Winner

TROY, Mich. - Oct. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- On My Own of Michigan, (OMO), On My Own of Michigan was developed 18 years ago by concerned parents who wanted to encourage and enhance the socialization and independent living dreams of their adult children with intellectual developmental disabilities (I/DD).  On My Own is excited to announce they have been honored as a Best of MichBusiness 2015 Winner,

On My Own of Michigan and nearly 100 other honorees in various categories will be celebrated in grand style at the MichBusiness Award’s version of the Oscars, sponsored by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA).  OMO will be presented with a Best of MichBusiness Award on November 17^th at an event held at the Atheneum Suites Hotel, in downtown Detroit.

“On My Own is recognized around the area for its successful programs helping I/DD adults live independently, build positive social networks and give back to their communities. We are very excited to have been honored by this award” said Bruce Benson, Executive Director of On My Own.  Bruce continues “On My Own’s goal is to assist each member to achieve their optimal level of functioning in independent living; in the workplace; with their family and friends; and within their community.”
