Perth’s Prep School Becomes Major Player in the Property Game

PERTH, U.K. - Oct. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Craigclowan Preparatory School in Perth can be snapped up for 300 Monopoly dollars in the latest edition of the world’s most popular board game, putting it in the same price bracket as London’s Regent Street.  The latest Monopoly board features famous Perthshire properties, and puts Craigclowan in the green category occupied by Regent Street, Bond Street and Oxford Street in the original edition.

The object of the game, which this year is celebrating its 80^th anniversary,  is to build a property empire, buying real estate on the throw of the dice, and then attempt to bankrupt opponents by charging rent when opponents land on the square.

Liz Henderson, Interim Co-Head at Craigclowan said: “We are fortunate enough to occupy a spectacular property in one of the finest locations in Scotland, and we have succeeded in punching above our weight to make it into a premium green square occupied by some of the world’s most expensive real estate.

“Monopoly is popular world-over, and it is exciting to now have a Perthshire version of the game. Craigclowan is an eco-school and as such continually explores ways to make school life, and the buildings and grounds which make up the bustling estate, more sustainable.  Perth won its own official Monopoly board in a public vote, beating 19 other Scottish locations.
