Registration Now Open for The Old Forge Half Marathon and 5K Sponsored by The Keir Weimer Team of Se

Feb. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- The second annual Old Forge Half Marathon and 5K is now open for registration with The Keir Weimer Team of Select Sotheby’s International Realty returning as the official naming sponsor.

The Willow Health & Wellness Center are the organizers of this event. The half-marathon is one of several racing events Willow HWC holds throughout the year with portions of the proceeds going to area non-profits. For the second year, MAC’s safe ride will be the beneficiary. MAC’s Safe Ride is a non-profit dedicated to offering bar patrons sober rides home in Old Forge and surrounding areas.

The Old Forge Half Marathon and 5K will be held on September 10^th, 2016. The running trails will take place on established bike trails that run between the northeast portions of Old Forge and Big Moose Lake. The trail course is mostly gravel and dirt roads. The start time for the half marathon is 8:30 AM EDT and the 5K starts at 8:45 AM EDT. The fee to sign-up for the half marathon race is $55.00 and the 5K is $37.50 with the cost going up as the race date nears.
