2015 What A Fan Awards Selects First Amazing Kids Fan Of The Year

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Recently the 2015 What A Fan Awards wrapped up its third year honoring dedicated devoted fans for their contribution to sports. The Award Show is the worlds only event of its kind, it was created in 2013 specifically to recognize passionate fanatics in all genres of both professional and collegiate sports. Held in Orlando Florida for the last three years the event has provided recognition for some of the most visable fans in sports. There are several categories fans can be nominated for which include the four major leagues, soccer, nascar, college football and basketball. Additionally there's an American Sports Icon Award which both Dick Vitale and Muhammad Ali have won, an online media and sports video parodies category just to name a few. The show has been moved to Los Angeles, California beginning July 2016 and will be held the same week of the ESPY's.

Dylan Hershberger a diehard Cleveland Browns fan became the first What A Fan Awards Amazing Kids Fan of the Year at this years event in Orlando Florida. Dylan was so excited to attend the event he organized a fundraiser to pay for his trip to Orlando by selling t-shirts with a picture of himself on the front. He pledged any additional funds raised beyond the expenses needed would be donated to charity, we were amazed at the initiative shown by this 8 year old kid. Dylan is well recognized in his community and has become a bit of a celebrity at Browns games. Its an awesome sports fan and a really good kid. We caught up with him and his family after his big win to hear how he felt winning the inagural award.

How did you feel when you found out you had won the What A Fan Awards for your years of devotion to a sport and team you love?

Dylan & Dad: I felt so happy and excited. It was a great feeling to win, especially against such stiff competition! I hope it shows my team how much me and all the other fans truly support them. I also hope it allows me to be a positive influence on fans of all ages, as far as both sides getting along and for our own fans to be positive no matter what, and stand behind out team no matter what! This award and the recognition ive received from it has truly made me feel like a superstar like the players we support!

You're now part of the historic foundation of the worlds only recognition award show for sports fans. What does that mean to you?

Dylan & Dad: I think its awesome! I love to cheer and support The Browns no matter what! But it is great to know that my efforts have not gone unnoticed. Taking my place in this spotlight will give me a chance to show everyone my love and support of the Browns, show the world how passionate my teams fans truly are, and hopefully also generate more interest in the team and charity I support!
