Upcoming Kidney Care Health Fair at Dialysis Clinic, Inc

JEANNETTE, Pa. - July 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is hosting a health fair at its new Hempfield clinic, located at 6710 State Route 30, Thursday, Aug. 6, from 12-4 p.m.

The general public is invited to come out and learn more about kidney care at this free event. Lisa Maurer, a social worker for DCI Hempfield, said this is also a great opportunity to meet the staff and nurses and to see the new facility.

“We just moved in March,” she said. “This is our first event here.”

DCI will be providing free blood pressure screenings and highlighting the services currently available to patients. The Chronic Kidney Disease Educator will also be there to discuss the early identification of kidney disease.

“We’ve told our patients to invite one family member,” Maurer said. “We’re trying to promote early detection of kidney disease.”

There will also be a basket auction to benefit Western PA Kidney Kamp, a summer camp for kids with kidney disease.
