Piet Quest Part II On 19th June

PANIPAT, India - July 24, 2015 - PRLog -- On 19th June Dr. Bhim Singh, the Dean of Colleges, Kurukashetra University, Kurukashetra was the Chief Guest at the prestigious event PIET QUEST held at PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, the Top Institute of Haryana and Delhi NCR. It is worth mentioning here that this institution offers courses on MBA, MCA, M. Tech., ECE, BBA, B. Tech., BCA, Textile and Civil Engineering including Diploma in Mech. Engineering.

In his address the man of letters said,” the type of work which PIET is carrying out for the benefit of students at such a large scale is commendable because it is like extending a helping hand to the nation’s youth to apprise them about the latest developments in the country and beyond. He advised the younger generation to respect the moral values of life and respect their parents and teachers to attain the best in life.”

PIET QUEST part II is a talent hunt programme carried out for Graduate level students across Haryana and Delhi NCR. The preliminary test is held at respective colleges and those who clear it are invited to PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY for another online test to filter the best lot for final contest. It is a titanic event which assures Scholarships worth Rs One crore in the form of up to 100% Tuition Fee waiver to the winners along with more in the form of  Laptops, Honda Bikes, Activa scooters & other gadgets like tablets, mobiles etc.

The authenticity of the claims made by PIET has been proved by the presence of personalities like erstwhile President of India, His Excellency Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who lauded the means and measures involved in successful conduct of this exercise.

In the second phase of this contest more than 600 students attended some very motivating seminars conducted by experts and their questions relating to career choices were answered to their satisfaction. In the process of contest 160 students were short listed for the finales held in the form a QUIZ.

The quiz contest was handled by the eminent Quiz Master of India, Mr. ParnabMukherjee who is an independent media analyst, art curator, performance consultant and one of the leading alternative theatre directors' of the country who has worked for United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNoDC) and UN Women on growing inter-connectivity between human trafficking, conflict.  He is presently touring with Tagore Now ! A peace mission for the Embassy of Sweden in India for the 100 years of Tagore's Nobel Prize and Museum of Million Hamlets dedicated to the 450th birth commemoration of William Shakespeare.
