Joel Owens Joins IDSI’s Leadership Team

ORLANDO, Fla. - June 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Intelligent Decision Systems, Inc. (IDSI) announces a valuable addition to its leadership team, Mr. Joel Owens. A well respected member of industry, Mr. Owens has over 31 years of experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Training, Software Development and Support; All Source Intel; Instructional Systems Design, and other training and performance improvement support functions working with the Department of Defense. Mr. Owens has served in many capacities over the years, including Program Management, Site Operations/Management, Consulting, and Business Development. Just one of Mr. Owens’ accolades includes his significant contribution to the growth of an organization from 16 employees with a value of $3 million to 215 employees generating over $30 million per year in just over six years.

No stranger to directing large Government projects, Mr. Owens’ has led the Warfighter FOCUS Program; a large Joint Development & Integration Facility (JDIF) and Joint Simulation System (JSIMS) Software Support Facility (SSF) combined government and contractor team to establish and support JSIMS software, tools, processes, and procedures; and a 120 member Government/contractor team on a $110 million constructive simulation effort to build 27 joint models, a joint Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) adapter, and a common component workstation for Joint Forces Command (JFCOM), the Military Services, and the Intelligence Agencies. A proven leader, Mr. Owens also serves as the Central Florida Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association’s Secretary and Director.
