Snell & Wilmer Partner Greg Brower Discusses Compliance Issues at IAGA's International Gaming Summit

LAS VEGAS - June 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer partner and Nevada Senator Greg Brower recently participated in a panel discussion focusing on compliance committee challenges in the gaming industry. The panel discussion was part of the International Association of Gaming Advisor's (IAGA) 34th annual International Gaming Summit held in Vancouver, B.C. from June 2 to 5 and focused on the conflicting roles of the compliance committee in the gaming context.

The International Gaming Summit included a wide range of panels, break-out sessions and keynote speeches addressing the top issues facing the global gaming industry today. The summit brought together leaders from all global gaming sectors and provided gaming operators, suppliers, attorneys, investors, bankers, regulators and other advisors with an unparalleled opportunity to meet and discuss the top issues and challenges facing gaming today, according to its website.


Brower joined an esteemed panel including Quinton Singleton of CG Technologies; Michael Neilson of Crown Resorts; Loretta Lillios of the Massachusetts Investigations and Enforcement Bureau; and Michelle Chatigny of Gaming Compliance Advisors, LLC. Mark Clayton of Greenberg Traurig moderated the session.

Brower's practice is focused on litigation, regulatory and administrative law matters. As a member of the Nevada Senate, he chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee which has jurisdiction over Nevada gaming law. He is also an adjunct professor of law at UNLV's Boyd Law School. His previous experience includes service as U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada and as Inspector General for the U.S. Government Printing Office.

A frequent author and lecturer on gaming issues, Brower serves on IAGA’s Board of Trustees and recently served on the Nevada Legislature’s Interim Committee to Study the Impact of Technology upon the Regulation of Gaming. He is a member of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, the Washington Legal Foundation’s Legal Policy Advisory Board, the American Inns of Court, the National Association of Former United States Attorneys and the American Bar Association.
