First Ever Sanctioned MMA Event To Be Held At Metrapark

BILLINGS, Mont. - May 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Fusion Fight League will be hosting the first-ever sanctioned MMA Event at MetraPark on May 15^th, 2015. Boasting a 12 bout fight card that is unprecedented in the Northwest, this event features an equal split of both men’s and women’s bouts. All competitors are highly trained MMA athletes and will travel from Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Oregon to face off with each other along with some of Montana’s top fighters.

Fusion Fight League has been putting on shows in the northwest since 2009, and this will be their 3^rd MMA-only show at MetraPark. This event will have 6 female fights including Fusion’s first ever WMMA professional bouts. The main event featuring WMMA legend Tera LaRosa, former number one ranked female fighter in the world. With a professional record of 25-5, LaRosa recently fought on UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter and still currently fights for Invicta. She will be taking on the scrappiest female fighter in the northwest, Portland Oregon’s Katie Howard. The Pro Co-main event will feature fighter Celine Haga from New Mexico taking on Kyra Batara from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The State of Montana has no interest to sanction MMA promotions. It is a common practice for fighters to be suspended from fighting in their home states if they take a fight in an unsanctioned state. Fusion bringing in an independent sanctioning body not only ensures the highest safety standards are followed, but allow the fighters to be officially recognized for their fights that occur here. This is a huge undertaking, but a big win for fighters across the nation who want to be seen by Montana’s fans.
