Fusion Fight League And Dvaas Team Up For Mixed Martial Arts Event / Women’s Self Defense Course

BILLINGS, Mont. - Sept. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- To raise awareness of domestic violence in Billings, MT and the surrounding communities Fusion Fight League will be putting on an a Mixed Martial Arts event at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday, October 11^th, 2014. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to The Domestic Violence Abuse Awareness Society (DVAAS). This event is featured in October, because October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month; started in October 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The event will feature the first Women’s Title Fight in Billings, MT; and also marks the first time that Fusion Fight League has had a Women’s Fight as the Main Event. Tickets for the event are available at Hudson’s and The Shrine Auditorium.

Fusion Fight League along with their sponsors will also be putting on a free women’s self-defense class just before the MMA event on Monday evening, October 6^th from 6p to 9p at Anytime Fitness, located at 605 24th Street West Billings, MT 59102. Several highly qualified instructors will be on hand at the event to assist students in learning how to defend and de-escalate violent situations. One of the featured instructors will be Matt Powers, a FIGHTING CHANCE instructor from Missoula MT. We hope to get as many members of the community as we can to take advantage of this great resource.
