Introducing a brand new musical! “Follow Your Dreams” by Wendy White and the Children!

“Follow Your Dreams” is an original musical written by Playwright, Wendy White and the children residing at the Shepherd’s Way/HOPE South Florida homeless shelter. The musicalwill be performed by the children, and their “grown-up actor counterparts,”
The children will be accompanied by Lynn University Philharmonia musicians, Yaraslova Poletaeva, Darren Matias, and stage and film actors, Gema Calero, Julie Kendall and Tabata Burdell.
“The children are all multi-talented and born to be on the stage!” states Wendy White. “My dream is to help children learn how to express themselves artistically via playwrighting, painting and music, giving them joy and hope to rise above their family’s current circumstances.”
“HOPE South Florida is a partnership, a lead organization in a network of partner churches and organizations working together to provide a holistic Christian response to homelessness in our community. The Shepherd's Way/HOPE South Floridaprovides shelter and life skill classes to homeless and hurting families throughout Broward County, crossing denominational lines, Protestants and Catholics alike came together, united to serve individuals and families living on the streets.” For more information visit: https://www.hopesouthflorida.org/
The playwright and director, Wendy White has written over 135 one-act plays and is the President and co-Founder of the New Light Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit public foundation dedicated to providing cultural outreach to the community through the arts and education.
This is Wendy White’s fourth theatrical production with the children of the Shepherd’s Way Homeless Shelter. She recently served as Musical Director of Lynn University's first musical with the Lynn Philharmonia "Is There Life After High School?" performed at the American College Dublin, and Liberty Hall Theatre in Dublin, Ireland. She produced her original one-woman show, The Jewish Nun to sold-out audiences in Off-Broadway’
