Art News! Artist Roland Ruocco paints New Mural in Pine Island, Florida
New Mural painted by Local Artist, Roland Ruocco, on south facing wall of Sweeney's SOS Gift and Soap Shop, 10954 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia, Florida, who commissioned the project.
Sweeney's SOS Gift and Soap Shop is an established local business serving the Pine Island community for six years. Founded by Patti Sweeney they sell their own handcrafted soaps, skin care products and a wide selection of quality gifts.
Patti Sweeney, store owner, Sweeney's SOS Gift Shop, states:
"Roland's mural is a welcome addition to Pine Island. I am grateful for his latest accomplishment and our good fortune to have such beautiful artwork on the building."
Roland Ruocco is a local fine artist and muralist who has created several large public art projects in the local area that include a 15 foot gesturing hand above a Cape Coral restaurant, A historical tribute mural on the Hall of Fifty States building on the downtown Fort Myers waterfront, the recent controversial Ukraine public artworks, and a participating artist to the historic McCollum Hall mural in Fort Myers, among others.
