Local theatre troupe to host acting and audition prep workshop

March 30, 2015 - PRLog -- When it comes to local theatre and making headlines for touring their rendition of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple, local Indianapolis theatre troupe, The Cupboard Inc., is continuing to make positive headlines by hosting an acting and audition prep workshop.

The workshop will take place April 18^th at Tilt Studios, 49 Maryland St. located on the fourth floor of the Circle Center Theatre. The workshop will consist of two components, one for children from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and for adults from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity for those who want to learn how to prepare for an audition, what they need for a headshot and the basics of acting. This is truly a great opportunity.” said Joyce Licorish, the president of The Cupboard Inc. and one of the workshop instructors.

This one day event will be led by actress and singer Joyce Licorish who currently portrays the role of Sophia in Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple, actor Jerome Davis of the hit television show, Empire, conductor Andy Morales of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple and actor Kevin Johnson of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple and the Indianapolis Reparatory Theatre.

Participants are expected to come prepared to learn and have fun!

Advanced participation fee is only $25 and $30 the day of the class.
