Is Gold Ready for a Breakout? Probably

ELK GROVE, Calif. - March 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Gold has suffered a massive beat down the last few years. It hit all time highs in the years following the stock market crash in 2008, subsequent global slowdown, and currency crunch felt around the world.

But gold stopped shinning as an investment dropping over 30% from it's all time highs. It lost it's visible returns and now is an instrument marketed not with recent growth but out of future fear. As you can see I am not a fan of fear based marketing. However it does seem that many who were very negative on gold are starting to speak positively of gold as an investment in the coming years.

Most charts show gold swings up rather quickly, over a few years but hen show decades of slump following. However these charts are from years where the internet was not around, nor the smart phone or many other advances in technology, society, or politics. To say the least times are different and gold may respond differently as a result.

Now to say the least there are very real risks to the U.S. economy and market, currency and debt fears around the world, global unemployment, terrorism, and so much more. So much more. These are issues that could come up and push people out of the market and out of cash into something more tangible and this could give gold a rocket launch breakout.

When planning your investments and financial goals there are plenty of issues to frighten or distract us.
