Palliative care is all about seeking medications, therapies and modalities that will provide the relief of suffering for people going through serious illness. Deanna brings the awareness of this film to us so that we may be curious a moment and consider possibilities.

People who have seen their loved ones face death and those of us in the end of life arena know that the suffering can be great when someone is squarely facing the idea of their own death. Sometimes that deep existential pain cannot be touched. Should people be allowed to suffer when we know there is a medication, when given with strict protocols, has shown to relieve it?

Robert J. Barnhart is the Executive Producer of this film. He has a BA in comparative religion from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and has been a strong advocate for the study of psychoactive materials in spiritual and nontraditional healing practices for many years. He sits on the board of both The Heffter Research Institute and The Multi-disciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. He also is on the board of COSM, supporting the visionary art work of Alex Grey.

Mr. Barnhart is active caring for the well being of our planet's environmental ecosystem. He has now completed producing this documentary film about the use of psilocybin medicine in moder healing practices. He currently lives in Austin, Texas where he enjoys being a father to his ten year old daughter."
