Bosco Tech to Host Open House on March 1

SAN GABRIEL, Calif. - Feb. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will host its annual Spring Open House on Sunday, March 1, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Prospective students and their families are invited to tour the school’s extensive applied-science and engineering labs and participate in hands-on technology, science, and engineering workshops.

“Bosco Tech’s technology programs make us unique among local high schools,” said Principal Xavier Jimenez. “And our popular Explore and Create workshops give young people attending Open House the chance to sample what our students accomplish through our curriculum. I encourage interested students to sign up in advance to reserve a spot in the fun, hands-on workshop opportunities.”

“Because Bosco Tech students have a 100 percent college acceptance rate and more than 64 percent of our graduates enter engineering and science professions, we’re confident that our integrated academic and technology program is effectively preparing them for advanced education and future professions. The Open House and workshops are the perfect time to show the community what is available to them,” he continued.

Also during the Open House, the school’s extracurricular clubs and CIF athletic teams will provide information, while the award-winning Royal Techmen marching band will entertain the visiting crowds. The freshman class will be presented with their class ties by the school’s alumni during a Mass held prior to Open House at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend the Mass.

For more information about Open House or to reserve workshop spots, contact Co-Director of Admissions Valeria De Luna at vdeluna@boscotech.edu or 626-940-2009. Seating for the 30-minute sessions is limited and reservations are encouraged.

Celebrating its sixtieth year, Bosco Tech is an all-male Catholic high school that combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with a technology-focused education. The innovative science, engineering, technology and math (STEM) curriculum allows students to exceed university admission requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in one of several applied science and engineering fields.  Visit www.boscotech.edu for more information.
