James Taylor is widely regarded as one of the most influential songwriters of our time. His warm voice and distinctive style of guitar playing have spanned generations, earning him five Grammy awards over the course of his nearly 50 year career. An inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the respected Songwriters Hall of Fame, Taylor will release a new album of original material later this year—the first in a decade. To honor the iconic musician, the Alex Lee Clark Band will hit The Beat’s stage for a special tribute from 8:00PM-12:00AM. Alex Lee Clark, a resident musician at The Beat’s Big Band Sunday series, has played with the Temptations and the Four Tops (just to name a few) and has crafted a unique and exciting sound by blending jazz and pop sensibilities.  He is a trumpet player, composer, and arranger currently living and teaching in Boston and is currently an in-demand performer.

While enjoying music, guests are welcome to a full dinner with selections such as the Duck Tamales ($11), Thai Bowl with your choice of protein, red coconut curry, bok choy, potatoes, carrots, assorted Asian vegetables and jasmine rice ($22-28),
