The GATE Academy Collaborates with Samsung for tabGATE

BENGALURU, India - Jan. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Bangalore, India, December 29, 2014: The GATE Academy has announced its collaboration with Samsung to offer an Android-based tablet that is preloaded with extremely high quality GATE content for GATE aspirants. The tablet, called tabGATE, aims to make high quality study material and support easily available for students preparing to appear for the all India General Aptitude Test for Engineering.

The tablet has a Qualcomm-based, Cortex A9 Dual Core 1 Ghz processor and runs on the Android 4.0 operating system. With RAM of 512MB (DDR3) and a 7 inch, 5 point multi touch capacitive screen with HD IPS Screen (1024 X 600), this tablet comes with 4GB internal and an expandable storage capacity of up to 32GB. It also has a front camera of 2 MP and a rear one of 5 MP. It will also be WiFi, 3G and GPS enabled and will come along with a 6 GB card, earphones, USB cable, OTG cable, screen guard, user manual and warranty card.

The tab comprises comprehensive material for GATE preparation, with over 500 pages of e-books prepared by GATE toppers. The study material includes 12 to 14 subjects, with an exclusive book for every subject. It also contains 200 to 250 hours of e-lectures recorded by GATE toppers and alumni of IITs/IISc. The lectures have been arranged chapter-wise for the easy understanding of students.

The tablet also has 10 subject-wise tests, 40 sectional tests and 8 full length practice tests, along with descriptive solutions for each test. Additionally, tabGATE comes pre-loaded with post-GATE guidance information for the students to utilize their GATE score in the best way.

The preparation material can be accessed without any internet connection, since it is preloaded. The tablet can be used for general purposes as well and is compatible with all Android devices. The Samsung based tabGATE costs ₹11,850. The course mainly focuses on students who cannot dedicate long classrooms hours for GATE preparation.
