FLYR Debuts FareBeacon, World's First Alert That Warns Users Prior to Price Hikes

SAN FRANCISCO - Dec. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- FLYR (http://www.getflyr.com/), the airfare prediction and optimization technology startup, announced the introduction of FareBeacon, the world's first and only fare alert that tracks individual flights, monitors flight sellout risk, and warns of price changes before they occur.

During a flight search, users can activate a FareBeacon alert on any single flight for which predictions are available. They will automatically be notified when that flight reaches an optimal purchase period, warning users to either "WAIT" for a likely discount down the road, or "BUY" prior to a fare hike.

Unlike traditional fare alerts that notify a user only after prices have already changed, and are not specific to individual flights, FareBeacon gives users time to react in order to get the best fare possible on the flights that they actually need. By following the FLYR "Buy" or "Wait" rating or getting sellout alerts, users can save money while avoiding the stressful and time-consuming monitoring process prevalent today.

FareBeacon is powered by Foresight, the fare prediction engine developed by FLYR, allowing for precise fare forecasts and providing immediate benefits to travelers.
