InterSolar 2014- A Carbon Neutral Event by Emergent Ventures

MUMBAI, India - Nov. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Emergent Ventures would be making InterSolar-2014 as carbon neutral. InterSolar India is a large scale event to bring the Solar business players together at one place. This event would take place in Mumbai,Maharashtra,India. Carbon neutrality would be achieved by estimating emissions from three major parameters, including travel, hotel accommodations and electricity consumed which contributes majorly to the carbon footprint of an event of such genre. The footprint would be estimated for the three days of the event starting from 18th November to 20th November 2014. Emergent Ventures would be retiring carbon credits generated from portfolio of wind and hydro projects to neutralize the emissions on behalf InterSolar India. A carbon neutral event certification would be presented to InterSolar event once the event concludes.The credits are accredited by UNFCCC.The events of such scale requires carbon neutrality as the emissions and consumptions are huge. In India, such events are made carbon carbon neutral earlier also by Emergent Ventures.
