Dynetics to Provide Support on US Air Force Program

US Air Force 3DELRR Program to Replace Aging AN/TPS-75 System

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Oct. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Dynetics announced today that it will support the hardware development on the U.S. Air Force’s Three Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar (3DELRR) program. The Air Force recently awarded Raytheon the contract for the 3DELRR program, which will replace the aging AN/TPS-75 system as the “grab and go” radar used in the field.

The radar will help defend warfighters against emerging threats by detecting, identifying and tracking fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, missiles and unmanned aircraft.

“We are proud to be one of Raytheon’s partners on this important project that will help protect our warfighters in the field,” said Greg Lester, executive vice president for defense, space and intelligence programs. “"Dynetics has a long-running relationship with Raytheon, and has received several supplier awards based on performance, quality and on-time delivery."

Dynetics, which has its headquarters in Huntsville and offices throughout the United States, marked its 40th year in business in July. It was founded as a small radar company and has grown into an employee-owned, mid-tier engineering solutions provider for the defense, aerospace and commercial industries, specializing in intelligence, missiles, aviation, cyber and space.

“We are excited to be able to bring some of the 3DELRR work to Huntsville,” said Dynetics President David King. “The program will provide an economic boost to the Huntsville community.”
