Follow on Google News | Restaurants in Aurora Team Up for First-Ever Havana BID East West Fall FestRestaurants in Aurora, Colorado, are coming together October 11-25, 2014, for community spirit and family fun at the first-ever East West Fall Fest event.
By: Havana Business Improvement District The event kicks off 6:00 PM Saturday, October 11, 2014, with Oktoberfest at Havana Street Station, 1911 S. Havana St., Aurora. Havana Street Station is featuring beer and brat specials; German beer, music and German folk dancers from the Colorado Folks Art Council. A “lederhosen optional” costume contest will award cash prizes. No cover charge is required. The following weekend, a Tapas & Tea Festival will be held 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at The English Teacup, 1930 S. Havana St. #5, Aurora. Chocolate tea and other British teas will be available for sampling and the Teacup is offering tapas-style samplings of British cuisine such as Shepherd’s pie, bangers and scones. Noon to 3:00 PM Saturday, October 18, 2014, the parking lot at The Stampede, 2430 S. Havana St., Aurora, hosts a free electronics recycling event and a socks and underwear drive to benefit Aurora’s Comitis Crisis Center. Techno+Rescue returns to offer speedy, efficient and secure recycling of electronics. Participants are asked to bring new, unopened packages of socks and underwear to benefit the families in crisis currently in residence at Aurora’s Comitis Crisis Center. On Sunday, October 19, 2014, at 4:00 PM, Gibby’s Big Backyard, 1555 S. Havana St., Aurora, hosts a Pre-Game Party with drink and appetizer specials and prizes. The featured game on the big screen in the newly-remodeled sports bar will be the Denver Broncos vs the San Francisco 49’ers. The event concludes Saturday, October 25, 2014, at The Gardens on Havana shopping plaza, with a Spooky Walk Trick or Treating Event. Gardens on Havana merchants will offer treats for trick-or-treaters noon – 4:00 PM or until they run out of candy. Free professional photo opportunities will be available.
