Body painting business owner hopes crowd funding can help her support UK charity

ELLESMERE PORT, U.K. - Oct. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Steph Olsen, owner of Fantasy Bods face and body painting, is attempting to raise £4,000 to support charity Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome UK through expansion of her business. She needs to raise the money by 5.34pm on the 27^th October by attracting support through crowd funding.

Steph will use the funds to increase the range of services on offer to include bridal body art, make up artistry and nail technician services. If she achieves her target and can buy the new equipment she needs to provide those services she will donate 10% of business profits every quarter to charity Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome UK.

The charity supports sufferers of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a genetic connective tissue disorder that causes joints to dislocate easily, chronic pain and fatigue. Because the syndrome has many symptoms, it can be very difficult to diagnose.

Steph says, ‘As someone who was diagnosed with EDS during pregnancy, this charity means a great deal to me. I would love to help them help other sufferers so I hope by broadening the services I offer my business will grow and I can commit regular financial support to the charity.’

Crowd funding allows individuals to pledge an amount of money in return for ‘thank-you’s from Steph. These include signed copies of books, a face painting party, prenatal body art and free business advertising in a leading online magazine.
