Once discovered, Lily was released from her duties causing the nephew, who was told to never see her again, to take his life. Known as "The Crown Jewel of Louisiana's River Road," the Houmas House is one of the south's oldest and most opulent estates. When renovations began on the plantation in 2003, it is believed that the construction disturbed the spirit of a young girl between the ages of 7 - 10. Spotted in the mornings or late afternoon the girl is believed to be one of the daughters of the late 18th century owners.

Prospect Hill Bed and Breakfast (www.BnBFinder.com/
The original owners of this 1889 B&B still enjoy their innkeeper duties, even in their afterlife. Sightings of a man in old military clothing are frequently reported. The man is believed to be Union Army veteran Joseph Wagner, the builder of the Victorian home. Guests who stay at this Mountain City, Tennessee inn are awoken by the smell of fresh baked peanut butter cookies and muffins that some say the previous innkeepers used to bake. The smell of spilled bourbon and rose scented perfume have also been known to fill the rooms at random times of the day.
