Follow on Google News | Playwrights Theatre Announces the 2014-2015 Adult Playwriting Workshop ScheduleEnrollment is open to students of all levels of experience; classes will provide exercises to beginners working on their first play as well as experienced writers who are further down the road.
Taught by Playwrights Theatre’s Artistic Director (and 2012 NJ State Council on the Arts Playwriting Fellowship winner), John Pietrowski, this will be a basic workshop class where students share work in a supportive environment. Enrollment is open to students of all levels of experience; classes will provide exercises to beginners working on their first play as well as experienced writers who are further down the road. “We get a lot done in this workshop environment, and a lot of the work has seen results. Class members have won numerous awards, been finalist at the O’Neill Center, and received NJSCA Fellowships,” Summer 2014 Session Mondays, 7:00-10:00pm July 7 – October 20, 2014 (no class September 8, 15 and 29) Pro-rate options are available for late starts for this class only Fall 2014 Session Mondays, 7:00-10:00pm November 10, 2014 – January 12, 2015 Winter 2015 Session Mondays, 7:00-10:00pm January 19 – March 23, 2015 Spring 2015 Session Mondays, 7:00-10:00pm April 6 - June 15, 2015 (no class May 25) Summer 2015 Session Mondays, 7:00-10:00pm June 22 - August 31, 2015 (no class July 6) Playwrights Theatre Creative Arts Academy teaches classes year-round for children, teens and adults.
