In 2011, the company successfully began producing auto-wire harnesses for BMW and Volkswagen and exporting them to the United States and Mexico. In 2012, the Dräxlmaier plant in Nicaragua was recognized as the company’s highest yielding performance operation in the entire world, and set-up operations were mimicked in all of their new plants. The Dräxlmaier Group is a globally operating family-owned company, with its headquarters in Vilsbiburg, Germany. Since its foundation in 1958, the company has developed and manufactured modern wiring harness systems, exclusive interiors and central electrical and electronic components, with a clear focus on the premium automotive segment in more than 50 sites in 20 countries around the world.
