WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. - Aug. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- The Gloucester County Italian Heritage Commission will host the 11th annual Italian Heritage Festival of Gloucester County on Sunday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The free festival, held on the grounds of the Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford, attracts more than 8,000 attendees from the tri-state area and beyond.

The festival’s planning committee is seeking sponsors of the event and offers prominent brand placement in accordance with the level of sponsorship. Sponsoring the festival offers an opportunity to expand a company’s brand’s reach to thousands of people.

There are also spots remaining for artisans, as well as crafts vendors and exhibitors. Food vendors featuring traditional Italian cuisine and desserts are also welcome.

The Festival is fashioned after an Italian street fair, so it’s a great day with lots of activity to keep everyone entertained. This year’s lineup includes Center City Opera Theatre, Fulvio & Friends, Don Felice, and the Vivaci folk dancers. Kids will be mesmerized by Dr. Neff ‘s Incredible Sicilian Marionettes, learn Italian from the effervescent La Fata (the Italian Fairy), don magnificent body art and make traditional Carnivale masks, and get a kick out of the antics of  Cascading Comedy stilt walkers, and plenty more.

Anyone interested in sponsorship should contact carolann@thesizzlesystem.com. Vendors and exhibitors should contact dmllaporta@comcast.net. Food vendors may contact nickmitcho@yahoo.com.For general information about the festival please visit facebook.com/GCItalian or call Caterina Dawson at 856.467.0096.

The Gloucester County Italian Heritage Commission was formed in 2007 with the mission of preserving and promoting traditional Italian culture and to encourage the study of the Italian language. The Festival is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and the GC Cultural & Heritage Commission at Rowan College at Gloucester County.
