SEWELL, N.J. - Sept. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- The Gloucester County Italian Heritage Commission announced the entertainment line up for the 13th Annual Italian Heritage Festival of Gloucester County to be held on Sunday, September 25, rain or shine, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the grounds of Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford, NJ.

Direct from Rome, as part of its 4th U.S. tour, the acclaimed, award-winning gypsy rock band, Capuano T-Rock -- as they're known here in the States -- will return after a crowd-pleasing performance in 2013.

Also sharing the main stage is Glassboro Soprano Gillian Terminiello, and singer, John Ciotta, a favorite of many festivals in the area. Returning are Glassboro High School Italian Club Dancers with a special debut this year of I Piccolini, 3, 4, and 5 year olds, who will also be performing traditional Italian folk dance favorites.

La Fata Italiana, (The Italian Fairy) will serve her blend of Italian education and entertainment for the younger crowd, and Dr. Neff and His Incredible Puppets return with two shows featuring traditional Sicilian rod-marionettes.

Top it off with Cascading Comedy by Benjamin with Lauren the Deluxe Face Painter, mask-making with GHS students, pottery-making with Joanne Martin, and Italian readings and displays throughout the day, and you have a day of culture and excitement designed for every interest and every age.

As always, there will be food vendors offering every type of Italian delicacy, along with crafters and exhibitors featuring their wares.

Fashioned after an Italian street fair, the Italian Heritage Festival promises a day of family fun and a great opportunity to experience authentic Italian culture with free admission and free ample parking. The planning committee estimates attendance of 7,000-10,000 people from throughout the tri-state area.

The Commission hosts the festival to promote Italian traditions and culture. Its primary mission is to preserve the Italian language, and each year provides scholarship awards to students studying Italian.
