Updated fingerprint fuming chamber improves results and reduces cycle times

EVESHAM, U.K. - July 23, 2014 - PRLog -- The smallest system in the MVC range of self-contained fuming chambers, the MVC1000/D2 has been designed to achieve consistently high quality results when fuming fingerprints using either traditional cyanoacrylate or PolyCyano UV, the one-stage dye/stain treatment that remains exclusive to foster + freeman.

Including all of the existing features that have made MVC cabinets the number one choice for fingerprint fuming (automatic and manual operation, self-contained fume cleansing etc.) the MVC1000/D2 also includes the following new improvements:

Improved glue heating and steamer units

Cycle times have been reduced by the addition of a new highly efficient glue heater and a rapid steamer unit, which not only achieves optimum humidity within the chamber sooner but also provides greater control over humidity throughout the fuming process.

Internal LED illumination

The first of the MVC range to feature internal lighting, the interior of the MVC1000/D2 chamber is illuminated by two banks of high intensity white light LEDs that enhance the visibility and contrast of latent prints following fuming.

New structural frame

While similar in shape and size to its predecessor, the MVC1000/D2 extrusion has been modified to reduce the weight of the system and increase the size of the inspection windows.

Further additions to the improved cabinet include a pull-out evidence hanging rail and removable easy-clean fan housing.
