Rising local designer selected as contender for Phoenix Fashion Week 2014 ‘Designer of the Year’

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - July 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Scottsdale-based Hues of Ego’s is the new contemporary line created by emerging fashion designer Natasha Duran-Lynch, is one of the 13 up-and-coming brands handpicked by Phoenix Fashion Week to contend for 2014’s ‘Designer of the Year’ honor.  With an intrinsic understanding of feminine physiques, Duran-Lynch’s aesthetic compliments, accentuates and amplifies each wearer’s personality; transforming women into more enlightened, bolder version of themselves.

“Each year the Phoenix Fashion Week team travels across the country to 10 cities in search of the best emerging designers in the nation, “says Phoenix Fashion Week Executive Director Brian Hill.  “When we discovered Hues of Ego this year, we were very impressed with the hi-quality design and long-term vision; we are honored to add this brand to our line-up for Phoenix Fashion Week 2014.”

After attending Collins College Fashion Design & Merchandising program, Natasha Duran-Lynch gained Phoenix Fashion Week’s attention as winner of the 2011 T-shirt design Scholarship award, before becoming one of the top 4 finalists in last year’s Little Black Dress Challenge. Since then Duran-Lynch has worked diligently, strategizing a solid business plan to build a strong foundation for Hues of Ego.

“Women are complex, with varying styles based on our multi-faceted personalities,” states Hues of Ego Founder and Designer Natasha Duran-Lynch.  “I strive to create a brand that caters to these ‘Alter egos,’ encompassing women’s diverse inner beings with unique, simply detailed designs.

As part of Phoenix Fashion Week’s Emerging Designer Challenge, Hues of Ego is participating in a four-month boot camp giving the 13 participating emerging designers the opportunity to launch their brands at Phoenix Fashion Week’s grand runway event.  The designer honored with the title of ‘Designer of the Year’ will win a prize package valued at $10,000, including goods and services to help launch their brand.
