Orlando Shakespeare Theater Welcomes Director Of Development Marisa Worley

 
ORLANDO, Fla. - July 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF welcomes Marisa Worley to its team as Director of Development. Worley comes to Orlando Shakes from A Gift For Teaching, where she also served as Director of Development, overseeing the organization’s fundraising, events, and campaign efforts. Prior to that, she led the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce through many successful events and initiatives as Senior Director.

Worley graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rollins College in May 2003, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts with a minor in Business Administration. She is a graduate of Leadership Winter Park, Class XXI, and has been involved in several nonprofits and philanthropic efforts.

“I am excited to plunge into my new role at Orlando Shakes,” said Worley. “This opportunity will bring me back to my passion and roots in the world of theater and the arts.”

Additionally, Worley has worked in public relations for Massey Communications and in the nonprofit sector as Public Relations Manager for Florida Theatrical Association, where she raised the profile of national Broadway tours in the Orlando market.

“Philanthropic giving allows the Theater to offer world-class programming to Central Florida audiences,” said Managing Director PJ Albert. “We are happy to have Marisa on board to manage this key area for the organization.”
