Altavoz brings on Veteran Accountant and Artist Manager

ROCKVILLE, Md. - June 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Rockville, MD -- Dwayne Telesford joins the Altavoz Family in the role of Director of Finance,  bringing his passion for artist management and his decades-long experience in accounting to this newly created role at Altavoz.  “Given the desire to have an open management and reporting structure for our artists and label partners, Dwayne’s experience will help guide our internal policy and external communications with regards to finances, royalty statements, and stockholder reports,” said Altavoz CEO Nelson Jacobsen.

Dwayne brings years of experience managing accounting departments for several organizations, including The National Academies of Science and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. For the last two years, Dwayne was the road manager for internationally renowned jazz pianist Marcus Johnson and is now the business manager for hip hop/soul band Konshens and His State of Mind, as well as the manager of burgeoning soul superstar Jarrod Lawson. Dwayne began his career with Capital Jazz Productions as a junior staffer nine years ago and is currently the artist relations manager for the Capital Jazz Fest and Capital Jazz SuperCruise. Staying true to his DC native roots, Dwayne was recently appointed as festival director for the Adams Morgan Day Festival in September, as well.

As a business entrepreneur, Dwayne served as partner and production director of The International Soul Music Summit in Atlanta for several years and co-founded the CO-OP Entertainment Company, an elite concert and festival production company, which he still serves as CEO. Dwayne is proudly a member of the Washington DC, Grammy chapter of The Recording Academy and has been very active as a member since 2012.
